Our vision is to be the Go-To Club for playing Tennis, Squash, Racketball and Bowls, whilst connecting our local community through sport, friendship and wellbeing. We offer a vibrant coaching set up supporting players at all levels of ability. We encourage members to participate in our thriving programme of internal, local, county, regional and national competitions, both as individuals and representing Team Connaught.
Our mission is to promote an inclusive welcoming environment for members and their guests to: enjoy playing sport, develop their skills, achieve their sporting aims and be the best players they can be!
We are committed to providing the best possible facilities and coaching to enrich the sporting experience of all our Tennis, Squash, Racketball, Bowls, Gym and Social members.

The Connaught was originally established as a Tennis Club in 1885 and is steeped in a rich and varied history. We have 2 indoor hard courts, 6 outdoor acrylic courts (2 of which are covered during the winter season by an inflatable dome) and 1 clay court.
The club runs a large number of mens, ladies & mixed teams, as well as doubles & single internal leagues. We also run competitions for juniors and adults. Club Afternoons on Tuesdays & Thursdays provide an opportunity for social tennis. Just turn up and play!
The Club has an in-house coaching team that caters for complete beginners to players with ambitions to play on the pro-circuit.

The Squash section was introduced at the Connaught in 1970. We have four courts, two of which are glass backed. One of the glass backs is an exhibition court with seating for 100 spectators.
We offer both squash & racketball and welcome players of all ages and levels. As well as internal leagues, the club also runs mens & ladies teams throughout the year, and hosts a number of competitions for both adults and juniors.
The Club has an in-house coaching academy that caters for all abilities from complete beginners to international standard.

Connaught Bowls is a friendly Club and caters for all levels of bowling for its members. There are casual roll-ups between friends, internal club leagues, friendly games with other clubs and, more competitively, fiercely fought district leagues, internal competitions, and then a variety of very competitive county and national competitions which members compete in, all hoping to reach the National Finals which are held at Leamington Spa in August.
New members of all ages and standards are welcome to join. Beginners are always welcome and free advice and instruction is always available if required. The outdoor bowls season runs from April to September, when we then have ‘short mat’ bowls in the main pavilion twice a week during the winter months.
Bowls Members are also members of the Connaught Club itself and have full access to the Club bar and social events that are held throughout the year. There are regular quizzes and occasional ‘themed’ events and suppers that are always popular.
